Angry Mob Beat Up Suspected ‘Yahoo Boy’ Caught With DELSU Females’ Pants, Diapers


LAGOS DECEMBER 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A 31-year-old suspected internet fraudster, otherwise known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ identified as Remember Salubi, was in the early hours of Tuesday caught by security agents around the Delta State University allegedly picking sanitary pads, diapers and female pants in one of the hotels.
The incident happened few weeks after a female student, Elozino Ogege of the institution was allegedly killed by suspected Yahoo boys and parts of her body removed.
It was gathered that the suspect was caught in the act in the early hours with female pants, sanitary pads, and diapers and was beaten to pulp by the security agents including angry mob despite his plea for mercy.
It was further gathered that the suspect confessed to the crime, saying that he was mandated by a native doctor to bring sanitary pads, diapers and female pants for rituals and get rich quickly.
He added that he had been involved in the act in the recent times through the help of some of the students on campus.
Angered by his confession, the angry mob was said to have assembled tyres and premium motor spirit (PMS) popularly called Petrol to set him on fire but for the intervention of the police men who were called to the scene and later took him away to the police station at Abraka police division
The police public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed that the suspect was arrested and he is currently being detained at Abraka police division, said investigation was ongoing.
He said, “The police are currently searching for the Yahoo boys across the state, and the police will do everything possible to bring them to book, the police have strategized to ensure these group fraudsters and ritualists are brought to book including other criminals.”
