Edevbie Loyalist, Martin Ovweghre Leads 500 APC Defectors To PDP In Ughelli (PHOTOS)

LAGOS NOVEMBER 19TH (URHOBOTODAY) President of Edevbie Solidarity Movement For Okowa Continuity 2019 and Chairman of Bell Ringers Association, Comrade Martin Ovweghre defected with no fewer than five hundred of his loyalists from All Progressive Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli, Delta State.
Speaking during the mass defection which took place at the Ughelli Stadium, Ughelli, Delta State, Ovweghre who was a core loyalist of Emerhor O’tega in 2015 governorship election berated the APC for not practicing true tenet of democracy.

He urged his supporters to rally en mass for the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2019 election, adding that should the Governor wins the election they will enjoy the benefit of democracy in the state.
He stated that the objective of his organization is to support Ifeanyi Okowa in winning he 2019 governorship election through the Honourable Commissioner of Finance of Delta State, Chief David Edevbie.
He vowed to mobilize massively for the successful election of Okowa in 2019 election.

He berated Delta State APC for lack of internal democracy, describing the broom as a house boy logo.
“Governor Okowa is working, we believe in the principle of rotation of the governorship seat. Governor Okowa will complete his eight years, we cannot be intimidated.”
“Nigerians are tired of APC government, they are tired of hunger, we must have a President of PDP extraction in Aso Rock in 2019. Today is to tell the world that the people of Delta Central are fully in support of Governor Okowa in 2019,” he said.
