Amori Shames PDP Distractors as Markarfi Triumph over Sheriff
LAGOS DECEMBER 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)-As Senator Ahmed Markafi’s faction of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) triumph at the Supreme court over that of Sheriff’s faction, Special Adviser to PDP National Chairman on Reconciliation and Conflict Management, Chief Ighoyota Amori has described the Supreme and Appeal courts rulings as victory for democracy and a shame to those who have allowed themselves to be used as tools for the failed mission they were sent by their sponsors.
Amori, in a statement made available to Urhobotoday online said the PDP Markafi’s faction is celebrating the victory of their party over a gang of political jobbers masquerading as PDP members, but working with external forces to thwart their effort toward repositioning their party to surmount future challenges.
The PDP Chieftain who urged other members of his party to join him in congratulating the National and Caretaker Committee Chairman of PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Senator Jubril Wakil of the PDP Board of Trustees, all past and present PDP governors, party faithful across the country and indeed all those who believe in democracy said, “When we decided few months ago to jettison those who were on a mission to derail the PDP, and chose the path needed to stabilize the party toward reclaiming power at the centre come 2019, many were of little faith doubting if we were on the right path.
“Today, we have been vindicated of our firm believe, resolve and determination to rid the PDP of those whose stock in trade is to cause disaffection and sow seed of discord to further plunge our great party into crisis to deprive us from forming a formidable and united force for the onerous task ahead.”
While appealing to PDP loyalists to continue to have faith in the leadership of Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Senator Ben Obi and the entire members of the national caretaker committee that is working tirelessly for the progress and growth of the PDP, Amori urged them to shun divisive tendencies but embrace those things that will unite them as party members and leaders.
“The task in building and placing the PDP on a solid foundation lies in our collective efforts and sincerity of purpose. Our unity where lies our strength is what they earnestly seek to destroy. But, we should continue to remain focus knowing that Nigerians are now wiser on the ‘CHANGE’ which they promised.
“The change undoubtedly has proven in just less than two years to be a pure deceit to impoverish majority of Nigerians while few of them continue to milk the nation dry. Do not allow them to continue to deceive and confuse you of any genuine effort to remedy the economic situation in the country because in a ship if the captain fails everyone fails,” he advised.
