Gunmen Kill Lagos Airport Cab Operators Boss, Two Sons, Injure Wife, Daughters in a Church

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 30TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Gunmen in Lagos State on Thursday killed one Celestine Nwokoye, who was described as the Chairman of the cab operators at the Lagos airport.
According to available information, Nwokoye was shot dead in Ipakodo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Also killed were his two sons.

His wife and daughter, who were presumed dead by the gunmen, however, survived the shooting spree, which was said to have been carried out at about 5am.
The killing was reportedly carried out in a church.
Both are said to be in the hospital receiving treatment.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the development in a statement.
The statement said: “There was a report that one Celestine Nwokoye (M) attached to Taxi park Lagos airport and all members of his family were found in pool of their own blood.
“The said Mr Celestine and two male children ages about three yrs and eight months old respectively have been confirmed dead while the mother and two daughters who were also seriously injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
“The incident occurred inside a church premises.
“The command is working assiduously to unravel the occurrence.
“We have some leads we are working on, we are optimistic of breaking through.”
