LAGOS AUGUST 24TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Abuja Based lawyer and family friend of the Omo Ageges, Barr Christmas Akpodiete mourns the demise of Justice James Omo Agege.
Describing the death of Justice Omo Agege as a great loss to Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general, Akopdiete in a condolence message to the Omo Agege’s family asserted that the late former Chief Judge left enviable footprints as a legal icon and respected member of the Bench.
In a condolence message Akpodiete mainainted that Omo-Agege is a fearless Judge, who as chairman of the Bendel State Armed Robbery and Firearms Tribunal, found the dreaded Lawrence Anini and his gang members guilty of conspiracy and armed robbery and sentenced them to death by firing squad.
Stressing that his achievement on the bench had no replacement, Akpodiete recalled that his numerous landmark judgements are cited in highly celebrated cases in law courts and in legal academic communities across the country.
Akpodiete who said the late Justice was a close friend of his father, Late Chief Akpodiete prayed God Almighty should grant distinguished Senator Ovie Omo Agege, the Agege family, Deltans, Urhobo Nation and the entire Orogun Communities the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.
