LAGOS JULY 18TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and one time Delta State 2007 Governorship Aspirant, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has reiterated that he foresee Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu winning Edo State Governorship election with landslide victory
Onuesoke who made the declaration while speaking to journalists in Asaba, Delta State while reacting to INEC recognition of Ize-Iyamu as Edo PDP Governorship Candidate urged Edo State indigenes to come out en-masse to declare their support and cast their votes for the PDP governorship candidate.

He argued that despite that the present Governor of the state is from APC, the present indices on ground showed that PDP is the leading party in Edo State.
According to him, “For instance, out of the nine House of Representatives members in the state, PDP has five. That was an election that was conducted a little over a year ago. The constituency of the present governor of the state is represented in the House of Assembly by a member of PDP. Besides, the people of Edo State are tired of APC because the party had failed to execute all its promises to them, “he revealed.
Onuesoke maintained that the emergence of Godwin Obaseki as Edo State APC Governorship candidate is a good omen for the PDP, because “he is not an acceptable and sellable candidate” and does not know what politics is all about.
“Ordinarily if the contest is between Ize-Iyamu and Obaseki, the former would out shine the latter “because he is a politician to the core”, He argued.
Speaking on the present leadership crisis in PDP, Onuesoke appealed to Ali Modu Sheriff and Dr. Cairo Ojougboh to drop their grievances and join hands with the progressives in moving PDP to greater heights.
He pointed out that the continuous legal battle in the party would hinder the chances of PDP in the forth-coming Edo and Ondo States governorship elections and also affect the party from regaining federal power in 2019.
