LAGOS DECEMBER 28TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke preaches love and peaceful co-existence among the people of Nigeria in general and Delta State in particular.
He equally appeaed l to Delta State Labour Party Governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru and Delta All Progressive Congress ( APC) Governorship candidate, Chief Emerhor O’tega to shield their swords and join forces with Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in building Delta state.

Onuesoke who made the statement while addressing journalists at Abuja after Court of Appeal ruling upheld the victory of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as the Governor of Ddelta State, prayed for peace and love of the season to be with the people and also enable them to have hitch-free celebrations.
He urged Nigerians and people of Delta State to live in harmony and avoid acts that engender discord and that are likely to breach the prevailing peace among them.
He observed that Yuletide is a season of peace, goodwill and abundance of mercy, adding that Christmas reminded him of the birth of Jesus Christ and his message of peaceful co-existence and love for all.
“Let’s be our brother’s keeper as this period emphasises brotherly love, peace and sharing of gifts in the spirit of love that Christ exemplified in his salvation role to mankind,” he advised, adding that it is only love and peaceful co-existence that would help the country to overcome the many challenges that beset her at the moment.
Onuesoke also used the opportunity to appeal to Chief Great Ogboru of Labour Party and Chief Emerhor O’tega of APC join forces with Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in building a united and peaceful Delta State so as to move the state forward.
He advised that now that the elections were over, it would have been better for the two challengers to come together with Okowa and draw out modalities on which to better the lives of people of Delta State.
“I wish Ogboru and O’tega will take my advise seriously. Going to court is not in the interest of people of Delta State. What the people need is good governance which will better their .lives. Okowa is already on track. Dragging him to court now is a serious distraction and waste of resources on both the plaintiff and defendants. This is also affecting the development of the state,” Onuesoke noted.
