LAGOS DECEMBER 1ST 9URHOBOTODAY)-There was commotion in the premises of Delta State House of Assembly complex as suspended Chairman of Uvwie LGA, Hon Henry Baro engaged a petitioner and police in fisticuffs’ in order to evade arrest.
Report monitored in icampus online reiterated that Baro threw caution into the wind when he engaged in fisticuffs with a petitioner who had dragged him before the State House of Assembly and resisted attempt by police to arrest him.

According to the report, armed policemen ambushed and attempted to arrest the suspended Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Mr Henry Baro, adding that the armed policemen who barricaded the assembly complex gate with their pick up van alleged that there was a petition against Baro and were directed by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Akali, to arrest him.
The complainant who accompanied the policemen equally used his car to barricade the second gate of the complex meant for members of the House in an attempt to ensure that Baro was arrested.
But Baro resisted and insisted that he was in the House on invitation, had an appointment to keep with his doctor and would be back any other date fixed for him to report.
The commotion which lasted for over an hour forced the Speaker of the House, Chief Monday Igbuya, his Deputy, Mr Friday Osanebi, and other members of the House who had gone home to rush back to the Assembly complex.
The situation turned dramatic when the armed policemen who barricaded the general gate fled the scene on sighting the Speaker and others while the complainant was not lucky as he had his vehicle impounded with the tyres removed on the orders of the House leadership.
Igbuya who was visibly angry over the incident said Baro was not a common criminal who was evading arrest, warning the police to contact Baro in his house for arrest and not in the assembly complex.
