Delta Gov: Onuesoke Enjoins Urhobo to Maintain Support for Okowa

LAGOS APRIL 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Delta Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship aspirant in 2011 general election, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has appealed to eligible voters of Urhobo indigenes in Delta State to maintain their support and cast their votes enmass for Delta State PDP Governorship candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in the forth coming election.
Onuesoke who made the appeal while speaking to a group of newsmen in Abuja after the declaration of Gen Mohammadu Buhari as the winner of the Presidential election urged Urhobo nation to put tribal sentiment aside and vote for Okowa in the forth coming election, stressing that the Urhobo nation formed the pivoted plan of Okowa project if elected governor of Delta State.
Describing Okowa as Pan-Delta, Onuesoke disclosed that Urhobo would benefit a lot in term of provision of employment, good education, health facilities, infrastructures and good network of roads should Okowa become the governor of Delta State.
The PDP henchman explained that despite PDP loosing the Presidency to the opposition it is glaring that the party has a strong structure in Delta State and such cannot afford to lose the state to another party
“PDP has a very strong structure in Delta State and will surely win the governorship election. Urhobo will gain in all ramification if they continue with their support for Okowa and other PDP candidates in the remaining election in the state,” he advised.
He said it would be waste of their electoral strength if they decided to share their votes between the governorship candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Labour Party instead of giving the block votes to Okowa in PDP.
Onuesoke who recalled that PDP in Delta State has done a lot since 1999, further assured that if Okowa is elected as Delta State Governor, his administration would fully concentrate on a strategic wealth creation and generation of employment for the teeming youths in Delta state, adding that although the issue of unemployment has come to the fore and as a global phenomenon, it would be tackled to the benefit of all and sundry.

Sir, if not because you are my elder in age, I would have said may God punish you for telling lies and mis-leading the Urhobo people on this mad clarion call you are making to Urhobo people. Are you the only person that does not know of the problem of deep poverty that has affected the whole of Urhoboland and the fact that in the last eight years no real govt project has been commissioned to help our youth and you come here like a true blind leader to talk absolute rubbish. How much are you being paid that you must sell yourself out like a prostitute and sell your people down the drain with this falsehood. Every fool knows that in this our Nigeria, if you are not linked to the central govt, you are onto a loser, all the more so when you are a state of ethnic Minorities. Please sir, if you have nothing sensible to say, it better you just keep quiet o! The bible itself says, a fool, when he is quiet, is thought to possess great wisdom. Please don’t lead us like a blind leader, awa ri di mumu.
