LAGOS JUNE 13TH (URHOBOTODAY) Youths in Delta State have thrown their weight behind the South South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders Forum in efforts to ensure that President Goodluck Jonathan contested the 2015 elections.
Prince Kpokpogri, President of Delta State Youth Forum For Good Governance (DSYFFGG), in a chat with newsmen at Asaba, contended that the youths were satisfied with the position of the elders on the burning national and zonal issues to cause unity in the zone.
He explained that he was aware the people of South South, South East, South West, North East and others were solidly behind President Jonathan’s ambition and called on Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State to join the people of South South in their quest to have one of theirs as a leader and to develop the area.
They also lauded the decisions taken against Governor Amaechi and urged the disciplinary committee currently investigating the anti-party activities of Governor Amaechi to do a thorough job urgently.
According to him, Ijaw leader, Chief E.K. Clark, and Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State and all those who had supported President Jonathan for 2015 should be commended, emplaning that the youths were in support of the elders and leaders of the South South zone and urged them not to relent in efforts to unite the PDP faithful.
Kpokpogri said the youths were solidly behind President Jonathan and would not be deterred by any threat from anywhere.
